Winter Walking Club to start in Plaster Rock

(PLASTER ROCK) January 4, 2013 - The Tobique Valley Community Health Centre is offering a free winter walking program starting January 7, 2013 and running until mid May 2013. The Winter Walking Club offers a great opportunity for people of all ages to meet the challenges of their New Year's resolutions to become more active and physically fit. 

The Winter Walking Club will include an individualized program for each participant and will provide information sessions on nutrition, warm up and stretching exercises and winter walking apparel. Walking can take place outdoors or indoors.

Participants will be encouraged to set individual walking goals. Arrangements can be made to monitor certain health-related measurements such as blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, weight loss and flexibility.
