Awards of Distinction in Nursing
Horizon is proud to recognize and celebrate nurses and their contributions within the organization.
The annual Awards of Distinction in Nursing recognize nursing professionals who demonstrate qualities valued by the profession and exemplify Horizon's mission, vision and values.
Nurses are nominated annually in four categories: Clinical Practice, Leadership, Mentorship and Nursing Novice.
On October 15, 2020, 16 Horizon nursing professionals were virtually recognized with Awards of Distinction by the Nursing Quality and Professionalism Committee and Horizon's Vice President Clinical Services/Chief Nursing Officer.

Karen has worked as an LPN in orthopedics for the majority of her
career. She constantly embraces change to ensure the best clinical
practice procedures are applied for her patients.

Tracy Adams, RN

Tracey was instrumental in the development of a pre-op teaching
patient guide, and discharge material for tracheostomy care at
home. She is a leader in her field.
