Derek Hutchison
Derek Hutchison is a representative for the Miramichi area. Currently, he is a teacher with the Anglophone North School District. He has served as principal to three schools, as well as community coordinator, worked in professional development, and was the supervisor of data and accountability. Derek was also responsible for the international student program through Atlantic Education International. In addition, he handled the files as the Alternative Sites Education coordinator. He served as the supervisor of First Nation Education for a semester. He has been a K-12 educator since 1995. He has spent the last number of years watching his kids travel and play competitive sports in Atlantic Canada. Derek is passionate about health and wellness. He currently teaches high school nutrition. He is Douglastown's only provincial elected official since 1856 and proud of it!
