Horizon’s Neguac Health Centre
The Neguac Health Centre is a family practice that services the Neguac and outlying communities. The centre is staffed with a registered nurse who also serves as the health centre's coordinator, licensed practical nurse, two physicians, and administrative support staff. One physician works Monday to Wednesday and the other works Thursday and Friday.
The centre provides:
• Clinical services such as sutures and dressing changes
• Collaboration with Neguac Public Health for injections, adult vaccinations, and mental health and addiction
• Regional Diabetes Program
• Registered dietitian
• Smoking cessation (Ottawa model)
• Speech therapy
• Lab service:
- On-site blood collection and specimen drop off: Mondays and Thursdays from 8 to 10 a.m.
