Horizon medical staff volunteers onsite at AC/DC concert
(Horizon) August
31, 2015 - Horizon Health Network (Horizon) employees from The
Moncton Hospital will be onsite at the AC/DC concert to help with
any medical concerns. Almost 70 staff members, including
physicians, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and
administrative staff will be volunteering at the
event.
A large medical
building and one satellite tent will provide concert goers with
medical attention, if required. The main medical building and
satellite tent will be clearly marked and will be accessible from
3:00 p.m. until the end of final
performance.
Horizon's onsite
medical team will help ensure everyone has a safe concert
experience. You can help ensure your health and safety by drinking
plenty of water, protecting yourself from the sun or other harsh
weather, dressing appropriately in layers, drinking responsibly,
and planning your day's schedule wisely including planning your
ride home well in advance.
A local Sexual
Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will be onsite as part of the medical
team during the concert and reminds people that informed consent is
required for any sexual act and that an intoxicated person cannot
provide consent.
