Oromocto Community Health Clinic moving to new location

(GNB -OROMOCTO) April 20, 2016 - A new location has been secured for the Oromocto Community Health Clinic. Health Minister Victor Boudreau made the announcement today.

"Securing this new location will allow the team of health-care practitioners to provide community-based primary health care to clients in Oromocto and the surrounding area," said Boudreau.

The clinic, currently housed in the Oromocto Public Hospital, will be located at 225 Mitchell St. beginning May 1.

"The establishment of this permanent location is the result of strong partnerships and a shared vision to provide our patients with the best possible access to primary health care," said John McGarry, president and CEO of Horizon Health Network.

The clinic will offer primary health-care services, including chronic disease management, sexual health services, ambulatory services such as intravenous antibiotics and wound care, as well as mental health support services.

A team of health-care professionals consisting of a physician, nurse practitioners, a nurse, a licensed practical nurse, a social worker, a registered dietician and administrative support will operate out of the clinic.
