FREDERICTON, NB - May 5, 2016 - The Queens North Community Health Centre in Minto will host its third annual 1 Km Kids Fun Run on Friday, May 27, at 6 p.m. Community members are invited to register their children to participate in the event and enjoy the physical activity, music and healthy snacks that will be provided.

Registration is open until May 27 at 5:30 p.m. The registration fee is $10 per child with a maximum of $25 per family. The health centre is partnering with the Move Your Feet Program, a physician-led exercise involving local Grade 2 classes. Grade 2 students who take part in that program at school will be given free access to the run.

On Saturday, May 28, at 9 a.m., the centre will host its annual 5 Km Footsteps Challenge for adults. Registration, which is open that day until 8:30 a.m., is $20 per adult.

People who register for the Kids Fun Run or the 5 Km Run by May 10 will receive an event T-shirt. Later submissions will be accepted but will not include an event shirt.
