Information and Support Session for Fredericton Residents

Horizon Health Network and several local community support agencies are offering information and support to Fredericton residents affected by the August 10th tragic incident.

Date: Wednesday, August 22
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Location: Fredericton Seniors Centre, 112 Johnston Ave., Fredericton, NB

Clinicians will be on site to offer support and there will be art-based activities for children.

Information on the signs and symptoms of stress, how to manage stress, and how to care for yourself, family and children will be presented. Pamphlets about coping with stressful events will be available in multiple languages.

Participating community support agencies include theMulticultural Association of Fredericton, Canadian Mental Health Association, Capital Region Mental Health and Addictions Association, CHIMO, Family Enrichment and Counselling Service.

Horizon recognizes the importance of taking care of one's mental health during traumatic events. Taking time for self-care and focusing on your mental health is an important part of healing. Residents are strongly encouraged to take advantage of these services.
