Changes to ECG Services at Horizon’s The Moncton Hospital

ECGatColiseum - July 2 2020

(Moncton) June 5, 2020 - Beginning Monday, June 8 all scheduled outpatient ECG exams at Horizon's The Moncton Hospital will be temporarily relocated to the Moncton Coliseum (377 Killam Dr.). This includes basic ECG exams, Holter device monitoring and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.

This temporary relocation will allow Horizon to increase the volume of services while maintaining physical distancing requirements.

Horizon will contact all patients with scheduled outpatient ECG exams to provide further information. Patients who have exams scheduled during the week of June 8 to 15 will be notified of their exam location when they are called to be reminded of their upcoming appointment.

The Moncton Coliseum's temporary exam location will only be open to patients with appointments. Patients with appointments will be instructed to proceed to the white security tent in the parking lot, at which time security will direct them to the appropriate entrance.

To book an ECG appointment at the Moncton Coliseum, please call 857-5271 from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Please note: Patients are asked not to arrive more than15 minutesbefore ascheduled appointment. If you arrive earlier, you may be asked to wait in your vehicle.

Patients who arrive without an appointment will be asked to return home and contact their health care provider.

Upon arrival for your appointment, you will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, and asked to wear a mask and clean your hands. We encourage you to wear your own mask; if you don't have one, one will be provided. If you do not wear a mask you will be asked to return home and contact your health care provider.

Horizon visitor restrictions remain in place. Patients are asked to attend their appointments alone; however, one support person will be permitted to accompany a patient requiring assistance.
