Mango Go for 42 Program Launches on May 8

(Miramichi) May 6, 2015 - This year's Mango Go for 42 program will officially launch on May 8 at Harkins Elementary School at 9:30 am. Mango Go for 42 is a student initiative whereby participants accumulate 42 kilometers over a five-week period from May 11-June 12. Students receive incentives along the way as they complete various milestones. The initiative concludes with the Mango Kids Fun Run on June 28.  This event is made possible with the support of community partners such as the Anglophone North School District, Healthy Learners in School Program, Department of Healthy and Inclusive Communities, Shoppers Drug Mart Dougloustown, Sobeys Dougloustown, City of Miramichi Community Wellness and Recreation, Miramichi Police Force, Newcastle Recreation and Leisure, Rock and Run, Fornebu Lumber, Miramichi Kinsmen, Rotary Club of Newcastle and Chatham, Newcastle Lions Club.
