Wireless Internet for patients is here!
(Horizon) October 26, 2017 - Horizon Health Network in partnership with the Sussex Health Centre Foundation and the Sussex Health Centre Auxiliary is pleased to announce free patient WiFi is now here! Starting today, wireless Internet is available for all patients at the Sussex Health Centre.
"Today, WiFi is an important service that keeps us connected to the ones we love. We are delighted to partner with the Sussex Health Centre Foundation to bring free WiFi to the hospital," said Andrea Seymour, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President Corporate for Horizon Health Network. "It's important our patients have a positive experience while they're in our care, and we hope this makes their time with us a little easier."
WiFi is now available for patients to use in all hospitals within Horizon. The wireless network, 'WiFi - Patients', improves the health care experience by allowing patients to stay in touch with family and friends through website access, social media, and email.
Cathy Curran, President of the Sussex Health Centre Foundation, said the Foundation is delighted to partner with Horizon in providing additional comfort for our patients. "Providing WiFi for patients aligns with the Foundation's mission to enhance patient care in our community. Having access to wireless technology enables patients to stay in touch with family and friends who are an important part of the recovery process," said Curran.
Horizon is grateful for the continued support and commitment of the Foundation and Auxiliary to enhancing the quality of care for our patients.
