Miramichi Area
The Miramichi Area covers a large geographic area in the north eastern half of New Brunswick and represents a very culturally diverse community. The Miramichi Area is also home to three of New Brunswick's Indigenous communities.
There are more than 35 communities in the Miramichi Area, including: Baie-Sainte-Anne, Blackville, Esgenoôpetitj (Burnt Church) First Nation, Neguac, Metepenagiag (Red Bank) First Nation, Miramichi, Natoaganeg (Eel Ground) First Nation, and Rogersville.
In the Miramichi Area, CHNAs were completed for the Miramichi Area and the Neguac Area.
There are community health centres servicing the area, in addition to Horizon's Miramichi Regional Hospital. Staff at Horizon's community health centres often go above and beyond in helping people be healthy.
