Members of the media are invited to attend a tour and presentation, marking the 10^th anniversary of the new location of the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation (SCCR).

Location:         Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation (Main Lobby), 800 Priestman Street, Fredericton, NB       

Gillian Hoyt-Hallett, SCCR administrative director, Dr. Robert Leckey, the centre's medical director, Dr. Colleen O'Connell, research chief, and Gary Foley, Horizon vice-president professional services, will be in attendance.

The media tour will include demonstrations in the following areas:

• Therapeutic Park, an accessible, outdoor space for clients and families

• Adult Team Specialized Gym with its Keeogo™, a motorized walking assistive device

• Smart Home Space, featuring technology that promotes independence for patients

The Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation is the centre of expertise for rehabilitation medicine in Horizon Health Network and a recognized North American leader in neurological rehabilitation. The centre provides bilingual care through inpatient, outpatient and outreach services. Clients of all ages from New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island benefit from the centre's services.
