- Process improvements made through the Performance Excellence Process - A goal of our organization is to foster a culture of process improvement. Speak to our staff and physicians who are making the changes necessary to better meet the needs of our patients.
- At any given time, physicians and staff across Horizon are involved in over 500 research studies. And every year, we invite media to an inter-professional Health Research day devoted to showcasing hundreds of researchers and their projects.
- Recognition weeks/months provide great opportunities to appreciate some of the people within our organization and the work being done across our region. Interview a subject expert in recognition of an annual occasion.
- Volunteers across Horizon will attest to the benefits their time gives to the patient experience as well as their own fulfillment. We'll help you ask them about their stories and provide you with the information you need to help us recruit new, energetic volunteers for our facilities.
- Our physician and staff are always receiving accolades for their accomplishments and partnerships with other leading health-care organizations. Help us publicly applaud these individuals for the honours they receive.
- Our programs and services are always reaching milestones, whether it is an anniversary or advancement such as new technology, expertise or service. Ask us what's new.
- At any given time, we have a number of free workshops and sessions offered in communities across our region. These sessions offer participants with health tips, expert advice and the tools needed to lead a healthy lifestyle. We appreciate the media's assistance in their promotion.
- Our community reports and website feature healthy living stories and tips. If you're interested in receiving them, subscribe to health information. And if you'd like to know more about any of them, we'll set up an interview.
- Horizon maintains partnerships and affiliations with hospital foundations and auxiliaries, schools, universities and other organizations. Find out about some of the accomplishments achieved through our collaborative efforts.
- Attend a quarterly Horizon Board meeting and hear discussions from our Board members and leadership team on current health-care matters. Individuals and community groups on the agenda are often good sources for stories as well.
